Three principles guide how Cloak is designed.

Unseen

Robinhood Chain's sequencer still broadcasts a feed of pending trades — Cloak can't change that. What it changes is timing: low-latency routing gets your swap included before bots watching that feed have a chance to react, so being visible on the feed doesn't translate into an edge against you.

Proven savings

Every protected swap shows an estimate of the MEV/slippage exposure it avoided, compared to routing the same trade through the default path. You see the number the fee is paying for — not just a claim that protection happened.

Fee only when it works

The protection fee is designed to apply only to swaps that actually executed through the protected path — never as a blanket charge. Today that means every swap runs at 0% Cloak fee, since Shield (the protected path) hasn't shipped yet. See Fee Policy for the exact conditions and current status.
